We looked around quite a few wedding venues but when we viewed Iscoyd Park we were just blown away by so many things and the feeling we had when we were looking around was nothing we’d felt before with the other venues. The first being the entrance drive way which is just stunning. The second being how lovely it could be to have so many of our guests stay over on the night of the wedding and join us for breakfast the next morning!
We’ve had so many comments about how lovely that was from our guests since being married. The third being the beautiful Iscoyd Cottage the night before we got married for myself and my bridesmaids to relax in and get ready in the morning of! The fourth was just how absolutely stunning the ceremony room is to get married in along with being able to choose the Coach House for our wedding breakfast in the evening just made it feel exciting how different parts of the wedding were in different rooms/settings!
And last but not least was how welcoming and friendly all the staff we have come into contact with have been. We couldn’t have had the smoothly ran day we had without your hard work and planning – especially Kate who was incredible and kept me very calm haha!
It’s very hard to choose a favourite part of the day haha! If we had to choose then I think one of our favourites is when most of the guests had gone home at midnight. We carried on partying (lightly) in the library until roughly 3am which just made the end of the night so special being with our closest friends!
I’m not sure we had a specific theme, but if we did it was quite a minimalistic theme. Hints of subtle sage green leaves on the decorative bits. And the rest was our gorgeous flower decorations. I’d say our theme was relaxed!
The evening entertainment was a band called The Hustle. I’d seen they’d been to Iscoyd Park a few times and their Instagram videos looked nothing but fun so we had to choose them! They played our first dance with the saxophonist which was so special for us. Then the evening was a blast, from teams on the dance floor having sing offs, to the Conga, to getting everyone (and I mean everyone) involved on the dance floor. Our 5 year old boy was breakdancing at the front with skills we didn’t even know he had haha!
I urge couples to just try and be in the moment as much as possible on the day. And relax, because the team at Iscoyd are absolutely fantastic and have everything in hand!
