the House

Charles Starmer-Smith, The Telegraph

"Iscoyd Park has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, changing from a crumbling stately home into a stylish party pad that successfully blends the classic with the contemporary."

Romantic, laid back and homely, Iscoyd Park is the perfect place to marry and celebrate. Phil and Susie Godsal took over the running of the house in 2009 and began a much needed restoration project. The passion, hard work and attention to detail that has been put into the restoration of Iscoyd is reflective of the care that goes into every event held here.

Where the Best of the Past
Meets the Thrill of the Present

A Rich and Varied History

Iscoyd as it is seen today was built in 1737, though some parts date back to the mid-seventeenth century. Iscoyd Park has been in the Godsal family since 1843. In the Second World War the park was requisitoned as a hospital and POW camp and It was not until 1957 that the park was returned to the family. It really is one of the best wedding venues in the UK."

We have 15 bedrooms – nine in the house itself, two stable rooms, Laundry Cottage which has three bedrooms and the Showman’s Wagon in the garden. The nine double bedrooms complete with their own en-suite bathrooms in the house include: The Park Room, The Green Room and Foxglove Room, (which are off the main landing) plus The Coach Room, The Clock Tower, The Day Nursery, The Night Nursery, Nanny’s Room, and Monkey Puzzle

When you book your event at Iscoyd, the bedrooms are reserved for you. You have total control of who sleeps where and you can allocate the rooms to the guests that you want here with you. Iscoyd is a family house and not a hotel and as such we feel every room should be different. We love the idea of those staying here showing each other their rooms and exploring them all; it’s all part of the fun.
