After getting engaged, we decided that we wanted a small autumn wedding with our closest family and friends. It was only by chance that I had an enquired at Iscoyd Park and had an email from Kate about one of their last viewings in December 2023. I managed to persuade Tom to come along for a viewing and the rest is history. We both fell in love with the house and the intimate space that the Coach House provided. The house and gardens are just beautiful, and we loved that our family and friends would be able to stay on the evening of the wedding.
I don’t think we have a favourite moment; everything exceeded our expectations! I loved starting the day with the girls in at Iscoyd Cottage; we had such a relaxed morning that set us up perfectly for the day. Tom really enjoyed getting ready in the library and being at the venue before making his way to St. Mary’s Church. We both loved having the formal part of our day at St. Mary’s and the beautiful service that was led by Rev. Veronica.
Seeing all our family and friends in the drawing room after the church service was just wonderful. We changed the ‘usual plan’ for the evening and decided to have a second drinks reception with cocktails and live music, which meant everyone had a little bit longer to mingle before the party started. Our wedding manager, Chelcie, made the day run seamlessly from start to finish!
We didn’t really have a theme throughout the planning, but our florist described our autumn wedding as ‘relaxed elegance’ which I think sums it up perfectly!
My dress was from Whistles with a Rebecca Andrews veil (she sowed our date into it which made it very special) and Reformation shoes. The bridesmaids wore forest green dresses from Maids to Measure and the men were all in suits from Moss Bros.
Rebecca from Ivy Pip & Rose was our florist and executed our autumn wedding vision perfectly. We opted for fresh whites and green seasonal flowers. We didn’t want the tables in the Coachhouse to feel cluttered, so with the help of Rebecca, we decided on bud vases and taper candles. We were very keen to have a ‘scent’ for the day, so scattered a variety of The White Company ‘Autumn’ candles on the table too. Rebecca dressed the mantlepiece in the drawing room with a stunning display of flowers that we both adored.
Leah Lombardi was our photographer and she was perfect in every way. As soon as we were engaged we had enquired with Leah as we loved her style and were very keen to have a photographer who shot on film as well as digital. Leah’s photography was perfect and she captured our day exactly as we hoped for. We just love looking through them!
Northern House Band (Jonny Ross) were our band and they were so much fun! They provided a great playlist (lost of friends have commented on this since!) and kept everyone on the dance floor all night, fuelled by Iscoyd pizza and cake from CocoLily Cakes.
Enjoy every moment and don’t stress about the small things! The day flies by so make sure to take some time just the two of you to take everything in.
