What made you choose Iscoyd Park for your wedding venue?
The moment we saw the beautiful Iscoyd Park we knew it was our dream venue! Its stunning character and charm made Iscoyd so memorable and special. We were able to envision our wedding day so easily when we first looked round, and just by stepping into the house with the gorgeous Neom smells, elegantly styled rooms and impressive outdoor spaces confirmed it was our perfect venue!
It wasn’t just the venue that captivated us but the the Iscoyd family and events team created such a wonderful and relaxed experience throughout the wedding planning. Charlotte, Kate and Ffi all helped us to create an unforgettable wedding day and we can’t thank them enough!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
I don’t think we could choose a favourite part of our wedding day even if we tried! The whole day was incredible! But a particular moment that stood out to us both has got to be walking down the aisle with the quartet playing and seeing each other for the first time. It was more emotional than we ever thought and just an amazing feeling saying our vows with all our friends and family present.
Tell us a little bit about your wedding theme.
We wanted our wedding day to have an elegant and romantic feel! Our modern but classic theme had contrasting colours of whites, pinks and greens with plenty of Roses and Peonies!
The Little Paper Shop helped us define our style with our stationary using classic Iscoyd illustrations with sage green and rose gold tones. My something old was my Dad’s classic VW Beetle which tied in so well with our theme and was an added special touch to our day.
The Outfits; Who did you wear? What did your bridal party wear?
I wore a dreamy wedding dress by designer
Miss Stella York and shoes by Monsoon Bridal. My beautiful Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids wore satin ruched halter neck dresses in sage green by
ASOS Design. Adam wore a
Fellini Tailored dark blue suit by Slaters and
Loakes shoes with a champagne bow tie. The Groomsmen wore the same suit as Adam with matching champagne ties. Personalised cuff links added a special touch to the suits.
The Flowers; Tell us some more about your blooms.
Flowers were one of the most important parts of planning the day and we knew from looking around Iscoyd how we wanted to dress the rooms. Flowers By Breige blew us both away with her floral creations and they were all grown in house by Breige! She used a variety of flowers and foliage, including peonies and roses to create gorgeous ceiling hangings, high and low table designs and chair posies.
My bouquet was a stunning open abundant design with a silk hanging ivory ribbon which looked so beautiful with my dress! The bridesmaids had smaller matching versions creating a lovely contrast with sage dresses. Breige didn’t just create the florals but she helped dress each room and created an ambience with taper candles, pillar candles and intricate vases. It was perfect!
The Photography; Who were your photographers and why did you choose them?
Jade Osborne’s fine art photography style was something we really loved! The light and classic look that her photos have captured our wedding day beautifully and now we have a stunning Queensberry photo album to remember our special day by.
Our videographer
Love Two Film captured our wedding day effortlessly and made us feel so at ease on the day. The video is a lovely reminder of our day and brought me to tears the first time I watched it!
The Evening; Give us the lowdown on entertainment.
Our evening entertainment was by the incredible Jonny Ross! We first heard Jonny Ross when we visited Iscoyd park on an open day and immediately knew he would create the best entertainment for our guests..and we weren’t wrong! Our added surprise for the evening was the Saxophonist and it was just amazing dancing the night away with all our guests!
Words of Wedding Wisdom?
Our words of wisdom to pass onto future couples would be to first and foremost soak up all the excitement of wedding planning, it goes by in a heartbeat. Book the important things first, then think about how you both want your big day to look and don’t rush into making decisions. Lastly, enjoy every single minute of your special day; don’t stress about the small things and remember to have a moment together during the day to take it all in!
