After the rip-roaring success of our Open Weekend back in January which you can (read more about here) we received tonnes of amazing feedback on one of the items that our lucky attendees found in their goodie bag. In a previous life, before Phil took on the invigorating challenge of running Iscoyd Park as an events space, he was very much involved in the art world. Phil has many strings to his bow and one of the many talents he possesses is the wonderful ability to draw the most lifelike and personality infused pictures.
For the Open Weekend in January, Phil put pen to paper and created a rather wonderful hand drawn map for those visiting Iscoyd to enable them to navigate around the house and gardens. The Iscoyd Cottage appeared in all its mock Tudor glory, the minty green hues of Philomena our Pizza Van jostled for attention alongside the Coach House and The Showman’s Wagon. Their were signposts galore, St Mary’s Whitewell peeking through the rendered greenery and of course the whole thing wouldn’t have been complete without our four legged friends in the form of our Black Welsh Mountain Sheep and the Iscoyd family dogs Freda, Willow and Mabel.
We encourage you to take a moment to pour over the details of the map and see what else you can discover.
After sharing the map on our Instagram feed, we were inundated with the loveliest feedback from our followers as well as requests to make the image available to purchase as a memento for those who may have married or were intending to tie the knot at Iscoyd. We are very proud to announce that we have commissioned a limited run of the painting and it is now available to purchase from our shop as a print.
Like all of our prints, each painting can be seen hung at Iscoyd. They all recapture the spirit of the house and grounds and would make a lovely memory of someone’s special day at Iscoyd Park. The drawing is available from our shop both as print-only, or supplied with an oak wooden frame ready to hang at home. The dimensions of the print are as follows: (unframed): 297mm x 420mm + 25mm border.
PLEASE NOTE: any framed prints are professionally framed to order, and as such will have a longer lead time.
We hope you love the print as much as we do.
