We are finally able to share the wonderful news that we have been keeping to ourselves for a little while now…It’s been an incredibly hard secret to keep but definitely one worth waiting for.
We are so happy to announce that Iscoyd Park was chosen last year to be the location of a brand new TV programme called ‘Reunion Hotel’ which is presented by the wonderful Alex Jones and which will be broadcast this month. Based on the series Gwesty Aduniad, which was produced and featured on S4C, this TV documentary series focuses on reuniting people from many different and often tearjerking circumstances.
The series promises to be an emotional watch, sharing so many wonderful heartfelt real life events, including a young woman who meets the stranger who saved her life, secret siblings that are found and reunited, others wishing to thank significant people in their lives or finally receive answers they’ve always been searching for.
The series promises adoption stories, wonderful tales of romance, humorous reunions between a boy band and a girl band from the 1970s, and incredibly selfless acts from some amazing individuals. Alex sensitively presents this very human series and we were so proud to witness so many incredibly special moments.
Alex returned to Iscoyd last month, after filming at the house last year, for the premiere of the new series which will air on BBC 2 and BBC Wales on 6th April. Yes that’s less than a week to go!
The premiere was hosted by BBC Radio One DJ Sian Eleri, here in the main house on 20th March, where in addition to an exclusive screening of the first episode, Alex took part in a Q&A panel along with executive producer Arwyn Evans. We were so happy to have the team back in the house and to be a part of such an inspiring show and to be able to play our part in bringing people together again.
So make a note in your diaries and settle down to watch this fantastic five part series which will broadcast on Thursday 6th April on both BBC2 and BBC Wales at 8pm. The first episode features the stories of Lee and Stephen, Tegan and Anthony and Pippa and the Band of Builders. We can’t wait to settle down with a cup of tea and a box of treats to watch the series for ourselves and in the process we wonder which parts of Iscoyd you’ll recognise…
Our thanks go to Tobiah Tayo Photography for the wonderful images of Alex and the Reunion Hotel team captured at the house here.
