We chose Iscoyd Park because of its homely welcoming feel! We had viewed a couple of other venues but the second we stepped inside Iscoyd we were greeted by the most warm and friendly welcome and it’s the first time we got super excited for our wedding and we looked at each other and knew we had found the venue of our dreams! The girls at Iscoyd also pretty much said yes to anything we asked when we first viewed which made us feel like anything was possible for our dream wedding!
Our favourite part of our wedding day was walking down the aisle together and seeing all of our family and friends dressed to the nines waiting for us! The love we felt was overwhelming!
Our photographer was the amazing James Fear. He really brought the best out of everyone and made everyone genuinely laugh so much and captured the day perfectly by creating such an informal relaxed vibe for the photos capturing some amazing natural moments.
We had two bands in the evening. We had a Scottish ceilidh band where we learnt all of the classic Scottish dances in lines in the Coach House which really got the party going! It was such a good way to get everyone to dance together and break the ice and genuinely was one of the best moments of our whole day and created some amazing photos also! We then had ‘The Heights’ play three 45 minute sets for our evening party. They were incredible and got involved with all the dancing and made the whole party super immersive and felt like we were at a concert with incredible vocals!!!
Our words of wisdom would be to get all of your entertainment and suppliers booked early and then leave all the decoration and small bits and bobs you can do yourself until later as this makes the planning much less stressful. Iscoyd Park is such a stunning venue that if you have your suppliers booked early and either run out of time or budget you don’t need much to make Iscoyd and incredible stunning scenic backdrop for your wedding day!
Also make sure that you find a time for you and your partner after your ceremony to be alone and take in what has just happened and have a glass of champagne together before heading out to your guests! The lovely team also suggest this and it was one of our most precious moments of the day!
