Hold on tight as we timehop you back to some of our most favourite Open Days!
Whether you have recently had to postpone your wedding to a different season, or you are using that little extra home time to get your colour scheme, florals and details boxed off, we thought we’d start your weekend off full of creative vibes and get you back into the planning game (the fun part).
Under normal circumstances we’d be throwing our doors open and inviting you all to join us in experiencing the Iscoyd Open Day, however due to the current circumstances we’ll be throwing our virtual doors open and inviting you instead to reminisce and look back on what were truly magical days.
It’s hard to believe a year has passed since our Summer fun-filled Open Day! For those of you who remember, the marquee was dressed in cascading pastel coloured balloons, little fluffy llamas added some interest to the guest tables and a carousel horse stood proudly on the top table – an absolute show stopper and a master piece from the incredible Red Floral (They never fail to amaze!)
In keeping with pink pastels, the gorgeous BIRDIE, the cutest VW photobooth was also there next to her buddy, Philomena the pizza van. An absolute favourite for evening food! I mean, who doesn’t want a slice or two after a few drinks (who are we kidding, we mean a whole pizza!)
The ceremony room was beautifully calm and inviting with a pastel colour scheme, whilst our Coach House was set ready for a party! (Oh how we wish we were there now!) Live music from the incredible Johnny Ross, Zebras (why not) topped off with the kitchen’s delicious pimped up Iscoyd style Hot Dogs.

For those who aren’t quite ready to opt for bright colours or include fluffy llamas as centre pieces, then our most recent autumnal Open Day might be your thing!
Red Floral transformed the marquee with beautiful displays of autumnal dried flowers, it was pampas galore, and eyes were drawn to the most incredible hanging pampas installation with huge disco balls that hung from the ceiling. The super creative Cara from The Little Papershop supplied gorgeous place setting menu cards, complimenting the charger plates and glassware Whitehouse Crockery supplied.

Spring had sprung in the Coach House, the table was filled with daffodils, tulips and blooming trees – it was as if you were walking into a garden! The exposed beams and white washed brick walls complimented the display beautifully.
The Garden Room, one of our stunning ceremony rooms was dressed by Selina Godsal, our in-house florist. Selina knows exactly how to enhance the romance of this room with her floral displays, topped off with sounds from Nero & Toscana Strings, there is often tears (happy tears of course!)
For those of you who don’t know, Selina does all the flower displays in the house and ensures fresh flowers are in your rooms on Wedding days. Being part of the Godsal family she takes pride in every single display – we’re extremely lucky to have her and love everything she creates!

Take a look at the beautiful footage filmed by Harvey Films who captured the day perfectly. For those of you who remember, we arranged a treasure hunt hence the random letters in some of the shots – promise they don’t live there!
Another favourite of ours was when Red Floral went monochrome in the marquee! We’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

No theme or colour is the same when it comes to dressing the Coach house! We have seen astronauts landing, monkeys hidden in the trees, exotic birds and even life-sized animals!
We can always count on Johnny Ross to get the party started who were joined by Dae La Roux at one of our most recent open days, didn’t take long before they had everyone up singing and dancing.
As well as our usual mouth-watering canapes & pizza, we’ve had a mac & cheese bar, a miniature soup station and a dessert bar. The kitchen are always challenged by goodie bag treats, mini magnums were our most recent suggestion, which went down a treat!

We hope each and every one of you finds a little inspiration in this post, whether that means adding an extra colour to your colour scheme, creating your own name cards or just giving our hot dogs a whirl at home!
And whilst we can’t physically take you on a tour of the house, we would gladly take you on a ‘virtual’ tour to discuss all your ideas.
We can’t wait for the day we can re-open our doors for you all to enjoy a day of serious wedding planning, a spot of lunch & a lot of fun!
Lastly, to all of our wonderful couples who have sadly had to postpone, we thank you for your grace and understanding and hope this Open Day flash back re-ignites the excitement & plans for your big day.
We can’t wait to see you all and get back to the way things were when this is all over!
Lots of Iscoyd love
